Best ECNL

OC ranks ahead of FKK in girls ECNL. And have for many years. FKK is full drama.

It looks like they trade places back and forth in the standings - every other age group OC is ahead, the other ones FKK is ahead.

To an outsider, it looks pretty even. What makes OC the better choice?

For the same reason why the OP asked about them instead of FKK. Their pro league affiliations.

Here's the deal, find out which one has the better track record at college committs. I'd bet fkk does on that front

OC has the better record and has an awful lot of college commitments. Oc has a new director, things are moving in a better direction and with the new affiliation with the MLS club is a stronger option right now. You’ll see playing go between both clubs, FKK is the place all the dramatic over extending parents end up because other clubs won’t deal with their bs. All clubs have the same issues but FKK has some fairly bad acting parents in comparison. Playing style is more building from the back then kickball. Every club has its issues, try out at both and see which your daughter likes best.

Here we go with assumptions from some folks outside looking in or assume based on one or two incidents. I can tell you we left another club to join FKK and do not see any of this. But the only thing you are right about is tryout for both clubs, do your homework and see which one will meet your objectives. Don't base you decisions on TS bs.

Been to both OC and FKK. Both alternate every other age group & aren't top teams in SE region for ECNL. For 12 year old 2008, FKK is slightly better, if 12 year old 2009, FKK is a lot stronger. Development is better at FKK in both age groups because players are more talented. 2007, OC is a lot better, then after that it just alternate. FKK has more girl college commitments than OC, OC focuses more on boys.

We spent three years at OC. Decided to leave because our coach was below average and training got sloppy and lethargic. Would rather not say where we are now.
I have good friends still there at a different age group and like it because they love the coach. Every team is a different experience. Some years certain parents were brutal. Trying to influence playing time and positions. Some years they were great. The key factor is the coach your kid gets. Everyone focuses on the games. Your kid may get 15 to 20 touches in a game. They get hundreds in practice. Games matter but at a young age the only thing that truly matters is seeing your daughter improve and keeping them engaged to stay with it and enjoy themselves as they work hard. At a young age it helps if they like the kids on the team or at least some of them.
The burnout years of 13 - 15 are couple of years away.
Like all clubs - Plenty of drama at OC.
The more $ and time it takes for parents....the higher the stakes and drama seeps into the team.
If you get a good coach and your kid is engaged and works hard, she’ll be happy at OC and everything else will fall into place. The 06 team is below average. The 07 team is great. The 08 team is weak. It depends on the year and talent of the team and the coach you get.
The point of this rant regarding OC is the people I know there are happy because they like the coach.. In three years there I was never impressed with coaches we had. But there are a few that are solid. I’ve talked to FKK people and it’s basically the same story.
In central florida - Not many decent other options. A few clubs have folded and the others are like rec teams.

For girls that want to play college - FKK is head and shoulders above. Hugh is connected - just look at where their current alumni are playing.

Their boys ecnl is also gaining on the girls side. All in all FKK does a great job on college committs boys or girls. Hue and company bend over backwards to help which is more then other club directions do. We came from another Orlando club last year and you'll see Hue at games every weekend, our old club we never saw the director in the 4 years there. Do your research when deciding on a club.

The boys 04 ecnl is good @ FKK, their 05's are trash for sure. FKK is definitely geared towards the girls side and have done extremely well on that side.

Maybe but past couple games hope not a trend.
Looking at FKK ecnl rankings and looks like a couple
younger, 2004 & 2003 boys are top 1-2 of age groups, not bad.
