NH, CT, NY, NJ... basically everywhere but MA. Plenty of competition in CT.

Is this MA ban through the spring season?

Depends on Baker, apparently opening bars is OK but not masked kids playing outside.

While the ban may not last through the entire spring, I doubt any games will be scheduled in MA. EDP, for example, has split their conference in two, so the MA teams only play each other, and the CT and RI teams are together.

For that matter, the last I checked, RI also had a "no out of state teams" rule in effect. So traveling to CT is the only way you're getting any out of state competition (and NH, NY, NJ for tournaments).

Everyone can compete in NH. CT not very good teams, have fun "competing" there Surf.

Yes, and at this rate through the fall if kids can't get vaccinated by fall.

Who are Bayside gonna play? Bruno? Liverpool? At least there are SOME competitive teams in CT. And Surf isn't the only EDP club in RI who'll be playing in CT.

So this will be three seasons of league play (spring, fall, spring) that Bayside players will have lost. How are parents feeling about that, I wonder? I mean, that set of parents isn't exactly known for quietly accepting things they don't like.

Don't forget, possibly Fall 2021 also.

Why would these parents stay at Bayside knowing they have already missed 1 full year of competitive soccer? Starting in 2 weeks, when they are suppose to start their Spring season, that will begin the 2nd year of no competitive soccer for this club, with the exception of a tournament or two. And they have known for weeks that this was going to be the case. If you miss your Fall 2021 season also parents, that is technically 2 full years of development you have not received for that hefty price you pay your club. If you count scrimmages against yourselves, and playing in extremely low level winter town leagues, then yes Bayside, you have once again done fantastic by these children.

What are you talking about? Bayside is stuck in the same boat as other RI clubs. Unable to play MA teams. That doesn't mean they aren't competing. They are in NH and CT for games as well as RI. I know this was a Surf parent posting this trying to stir it up against Bayside. But Bayside has been doing a great job and probably practicing more than any other RI team since COVID.

                            Agreed, training has been excellent.
Fall was better than anticipated. Plenty of competition if needed for spring. Top teams can always play up if they need a better contest.
