You are either a part of the team or you aren't and when you do what you want when you want, it affects the team. My kid chose soccer and wants teammates that want the same thing. I think most people are cool with playing other winter sports but when it comes to outdoor that is another story.

Lol
Good idea...make your kids commit to a soccer career at U11..and god forbid they do another activity. Because everyone will cherish those memories of that one EDP game you won 3-2, but were SHORTHANDED with 12 kids for a 9v9 game.
Europa is flexible with kids. That doesn't mean kids skip for other events. That was a large leap to assume so.
News flash, kids skip for other events at all clubs. It's called being kids. Maybe if a lot of soccer clubs didn't try to control all of their players' respective time and their parents' money, these kids wouldn't be forced into so many choices.

Buddy...
Kids miss all the time at PF and Delco, but that is what happens when you have practice 3x-4x per week for ECNL.
Europa isn't alone. Stop pretending these are hardcore academies where the kids are lockdown soccer stars who live and breathe soccer.

This happens at Europa from the early age groups right up until the teams are finished, don't tell me it wasn't an issue and I bet it is still an issue today!
