Out of State Travel update from Albany - Current as of 01/11/2021
Travel to neighboring states for practice or play is severely discouraged, however if you do travel, keep in mind that the New York COVID-19 Travel Advisory must be followed, as well as that of the State or States you are travelling to.
The travel guidelines require all New Yorkers as well as those visiting from out of state, to take personal responsibility for compliance in the best interest of public health and safety.
If teams wish to travel to CT, NJ, PA or MA they must fill out the Online Traveler Health Form but are not required to quarantine.
If teams wish to travel to a noncontiguous state, US territory or CDC level 2 and higher country, they must fill out the Online Traveler Health Form and quarantine for 10 days upon return.
Effective November 4th, traveler may 'Test-Out' of the 10 day quarantine. (Guidelines Here)
Teams from other states cannot practice or play in New York.

In State Travel Restrictions - Current as of 01/11/2021
Individual games or league play: No restrictions on a single match in a single day that does not require an overnight stay.

Those are guidelines for New York WEST teams that play under USYS. Do you have info for New York East, including leagues that are not under the USYS umbrella?

ENYSA does not spell it out despite Western NY being west of here it's still NY State so still the same guidelines. USYS covers NYCSL, LIJSL, and EDP.

I want my kids team to travel if allowed. If it's not allowed did these clubs just waste alot of money? Jefferson Cup is not going to refund.

CT is not allowing it's teams to travel out of state and not allowing out of state teams to travel into CT to play. Interestingly they are allowing CT players that play on out of state teams to continue playing with them and out of state players on CT teams may also play. I wonder if a CT player on am out of state team can then play in tournaments in that state or other states legally? Who thinks of these stupid scenarios and thinks that these rules make sense (banning out of state play for teams but allowing players to)?

All of NY has to follow the same rules as they are driven by the state government rules.

When Democrats hide under their beds, they should not take their laptops with them. We don't want to hear from you. Just hide till you think it is safe to come out.

Thanks for your completely uninformed posts & thread. NYW and NYE are considered different regions by USYS...it's not denoted as NYW, just because it's "West of here". You might as well have posted the guidelines from USYS for Ohio...

Also, you did not post NYS guidelines, you posted USYS guidelines for a certain region. For future reference, if you're interested in USYS protocols for Eastern NY (Long Island, Five Boroughs, Westchester, Albany area, etc) try typing ENY Soccer into the google machine. Here's what they have posted-

SUSA tournament has lots of teams from non-bordering regions applied. Assume just like the EMSC one back in september it will get restricted.

Except Jeff Cup is in Virginia, which has different guidelines than NYS. Granted, VA has seen a spike in new cases including an all pandemic high of close to 10,000 new cases a few days ago. Considering the state had thousands of "visitors" 2 weeks ago that, according to the footage I've seen, didn't seem to adhere to Covid protocols, the rise in cases is no real surprise. We'll see how that evolves over the next few months.

The state of NY sets the guidelines not WNY or ENY or USYS it’s up to them to enforce the STATE guidelines
