    Surf 08’

The director of Surf trying to put together an 08’ girls team. They have been playing indoor tournament with girls from LGN and Stony Brook Atletico. Causing problems for both of those clubs. LGN Girls practicing with surf, LGN and Atony Brook. Can’t make this **** up with some of these parents

Why do you care what kids do for winter training? Kids playing all over the place right now for Winter.

Surf is clearly posting tryouts specific to an age group. Its completely fair that the OP has reason for concern and to question the parents on their teams. There are many training companies out there that only do the additional training part and are not looking to form teams. Going to train with Surf for the winter sure seems like the parents are looking to leave their current club / team and not just doing extra winter training.

If I had a son or daughter on a team that had many players showing up to a tryout for a different club and then playing in tournaments with them, I would be very concerned that my kid wouldn't have much of a team left come the spring. Maybe they are just trying to get the parents on the team to be honest with them before they get close to the spring season???

This winter is going to be extremely active with players moving - fall didn't allow for proper evaluation and tryouts along with players receiving Covid refunds being applied to dues = lots of unhappy players. If 9-10 girls are all thinking of leaving a specific team the other parents should see the writing on the wall.

Who cares where this pack of wolves for parents goes. One thing I can predict they will cause plenty of trouble for whoever accepts their ransom wish list.

They are led by one of the most deceitful people I have met in youth sports. He truly is a creep. I don't have pity for the club dumb enough to allow this group to call the shots.

The Susa RL team Is not really a step up from LGN. They lost to a division 2 EDP team and tied LGN in the Fall.

Talent aside who in their right mind would have their kid go to this 2008 LGN team with this toxic group? Youth soccer is a small world here on LI.

Susa teams do not allow that kind of parent involvement at any age "for the most part".

What does "for the most part" mean? Isn't that saying there is parent involvement? Kind of ridiculous statement.

Any updates from the Surf '08 tryouts yesterday?
