EDP has some very good teams...ECNL has some very bad teams. Pick your winner.

ECNL governed by US Club Soccer and EDP is now governed by US Youth Soccer. Each are national platforms for both boys and girls. Each often make claims as to how great they are!

Definitely overlap between bottom ECNL and top EDP teams, but that's all. Top maybe 2 brackets of EDP are good quality competition but after that it falls like a cliff

I would go far higher than bottom of ECNL for overlap.

Based on EDP 1 teams beating, drawing or just plain plying competitively with middle and upper tier ECNL teams.

Sure it happens but not often. They also don't play cross league games often, so I wouldn't draw too many conclusions from it.

C’mon. When’s the last time a HS level (not middle school) EDP team beat an ECNL team?

That's the reason it happens less than it should .... Lots of ECNL teams guard their illusion of superiority by not playing competitive trams near them that are not ECNL .... Far toouch to lose ... Plua. Friendly scores are not recorded anywhere so that also hurts the ability to show how often this happens .... But it still does and a lot. US Soccer really set girls soccer back a lot when they launched GDAP and it will take a long time to recover if it ever does ...... It isore watered down today than ever.

It’s a large exaggeration to assume this would happen more often than it does. Fact is EDP teams are not as deep as ECNL teams, and the top tier of ECNL would find no competition amongst the top tier of EDP. Jeff Cup is a good place to make these comparisons; and the results I have seen show top EDP teams struggle against mid-tier ECNL teams.

I did not argue against ecnl top tier (which does not exist around here in the northeast) .... But the bottom 3/4 of ECNL is fair game .... Of course less likely for each quarter you go down ..... Let's face it though .... Bottom if of ECNL ain't great and last quarter is bad. Each of all of those teams has a good or very good player or two and you can add up tonabfew more as you go into the next quarter up but there is tons of disparity in the ecnl as you should know.

Totally agree 1st Div EDP can compete with anyone wish it could be proven more often but as you said ECNL and even GA guard against it as it would hurt their brand/business model.
