What an uneducated “soccer fan.”
I don’t think we played particularly well yesterday, but it want because lack of talent. It was because the players aren’t familiar with each other at all. New pieces in a new system and not quite sure how they mesh together yet.
We have young players currently getting significant minutes and playing with and against the best in the world at: Juve, Bayern, Chelsea, Barcelona, RB Leipzig, Dortmund....all currently in UEFA Champions League. All under 23 years old. Another at Man City, also Champions League, is 25 yo.
We had 2 players under 18 years old start. Futures world football starts both of them (playing at Dortmund and Valencia).
There was a handful of other players fro Europe as well, teams like Wolves, Fulham, and Lille.
This group will turn out to be the American “Golden Generation” and will have multiple players with valuations in the neighborhood of 60 million. They won’t win a World Cup, but they will be a significant International side to compete against.

With that being said, please don't waste your time responding to people like that because it's clear that the whole uneducated post is simply to start a "controversial" thread.

I couldn't agree more. If hope to NEVER see Bradley and Altidore on the field again.
As was posted before yesterday was a good showing by a young squad that has hardly had anytime to train together.

MLS will continue to evolve and develop. It's a fledgling league relative to the rest of the world. Players are being sold on top better leagues. MLS is now a feeder league, but with the US infrastructure, lifestyle, and corporate exposure it certainly could develop into a destination league one day. Especially once it merges with Liga MX.
With streaming services and on demand sports, a new generation of EPL, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga fans are emerging. American appetite for soccer will only continue to increase.

It will come, but it will likely take decades. Sorry you are the typical instant gratification craving no long range vision individual that plagues society today.
Go post a trophy picture on Facebook. Fingers crossed for you that you get a bunch of likes.

I fail to see what Mars has to do with MLS...

What did I say about "developing players for a World Cup?" All my comments were talking about the MLS as a top flight league on par with it's European counterparts. That will take time.
I believe we will be competitive (quarter finals) in the next world cup and potentially a top 5ish team in the world in the next 6 years, but that is independent of MLS and based purely on the talent we have coming up right now...developing in Europe.
