    High School Scores

In the past the Boston Globe used to have a section on their website that showed all high school scores and standings. I've tried to locate it this year but have been unable to find it. I also tried the MIAA.net site and couldn't find anything there. (You would think MIAA would be responsible for requiring scores to be entered...what do they actually do?)

Is anyone aware of a web address that has updated scores?

MaxPreps is a joke...nothing is ever updated. Going to the schedule pages of each high school is possible but scores aren't always updated there either (and its a pain in the a55).

    Thanks

Because its fun and it helps to take your mind off of the negativity of the election and the pandemic. Try not to be a dbag your whole life.

There is no run to state championships this year, so really it's just meaningless fun and time with friends. So have fun, and enjoy watching them play. If you have a daughter, no way she was beating my kids team anyway. If you have a son, be thankful he discovered a sport that let's him play. It's all good

MaxPreps probably the best source since MIAA was going to use them for seeding conferences prior to Covid. It’s just that they have the original schedules and half those games aren’t being played now.

Who cares about the scores? High School soccer pretty much sucks, or at least 90% of the teams do. Coaches who do it for the wrong reasons and roster players based on friendships, players who have no vision, parents who have no clue about the game, and on and on... but yeah... let's make sure we post those really important scores... smh.

So your kid didn't make the team.

Hey, if TS serves as the outlet for your bitterness so your kid doesn’t sense your disappointment, carry on

Glad the kids have a chance to kick around with each other. I've seen a couple of bummer stats though. Not sure how running up scores is fun for anyone. Especially when kids are looking for bright moments to enjoy during these crazy times.

Well I know when my kids League they're having a tournament at the end between the two divisions in the league where every team is included and they're playing for a league cup if you will. Is it the state tournament? Obviously not but for the kids who were playing it does mean something to win their division and their league and knowing scores. Same for parents who care about that stuff too. For those saying who cares it's meaningless soccer what have you oh, I bet you don't even have kids playing High School soccer yet here you are on the boys because you can't not comment on any thing and everything on here. Tools!

There you go your kid isn't even in high school yet here you are having a response because you are a TS tool bag who has to answer anything and everything that's posted and lives on this board. Meanwhile you know little!

High School soccer is not club soccer and we know that but there are very high level players playing on their high school teams including some who play for national teams as well as the highest levels of GA and ecnl. Obviously not every one of their teammates are at those levels which is why you see some town or schools who may have more players at those levels on a team do better than others but the biggest thing if you ask any of the players playing High School soccer is the ability to play for their town which they grew up in probably play Town soccer in before Club was ever a thought and to play with their friends who they don't get to play with on their Club teams.

Saying that are there blow out games yes what are the very high quality competitive games absolutely and I know my kids team will be having a league-wide tournament at the end so that these kids most especially the seniors will be able to play for something in the end and that's what it's really about. Kids playing with their friends and competing for a championship and/or hopefully having fun doing so long the way. Not to mention for some to be able to play against others who might play Club at a higher level and see what it would take to be at that level.

But you are the typical blowhard who gets off responding on every TS soccer board even wants you have no clue about. That is the truth!

PS: I am not the person who responded previously. I am just a parent of a high school soccer player where games have been competitive and just as fun as they always are what are that's what club or the high school team!

Yeah, that's all good. Playing with friends? Super cool. Having fun? Obviously, otherwise there's no point. Playing for the town they grew up in? That is without a doubt something to be proud of.
But you are missing my point... it's still awful soccer! Painful to watch, void of any sense of intelligence. Panic style soccer where players don't even respect each other because they know with a little pressure on the player who has the ball it all falls apart.

But hey if it makes you feel better, sure let's play that league-wide tournament so the Seniors can be happy and their parents feel accomplished... no matter the kick and run kung-fu style system of play.

It does not have to be like this.... there is a better way, and that's what makes me sad.
