Damn. I need to hear this story. Sounds like the typical we will carry 2 keepers situation where one ends up playing a lot more because they are better and the 2nd keeper isn't playing or developing. No GK should ever accept anything less than 50% PT. Both GKs are paying for training and game time. Some clubs (and coaches) don't care about developing good GKs, some do. Find the latter. Once you get to high school and college then it's strongest GK starts, but if you're paying they should be playing.Comment

my kid is the back up keeper. We keep training and getting better. The starter is getting complacent and lazy. This is when we train harder. Mom has been flirting with the coach as well. We are confident that in no time our star will be starting.Comment
