ECNL will leverage their girls program to force clubs to choose full ECNL (and drop MLS or drop it to second tier) or lose both girls and boys ECNL. If MLS Elite does not develop a viable girls side soon, ECNL will win the competition for clubs.

If that happen, the kids that are playing ECNL now, will be playing ECNL-R and MLS kids will be playing ECNL

ECNL already is in talks with MLS, they are in discussion to establish league rights and programs. ECNL will drop the boys and MLS Next will become the main boys development league and in exchange MLS Next/NWSL will not develop a girls league and ECNL will be the league for the girls main top program/clubs.

I think this would be great for the game and I hope it is true. Can you provide any links to your source of information? Thanks

Exactly where was the MLS Next/NWSL going to get girls clubs from?

                Convert GA over?

It makes sense for the boys side. ECNL boys sucks compared to what the MLS will be for boys. It just isn't worth it for ECNL to try and fight for elite boys in that space.

There is plenty of Boys ECNL teams that will wipe the floor against MLS teams. Already seen it a few times this year, so get out of here with that BS talk..
