Which clubs and competitive towns are attending tournaments this Labor Day weekend? It seems we still can’t have games in RI (being high risk ) so towns and clubs are traveling up to NH for Seacoast or down south for tournaments. I’m glad we are getting kids on fields, and I’m not against it, but how is this ok and Superliga not helping us get our games going in our state? They aren’t getting us changed to moderate risk. So this results in our competitions and clubs travelling to play games out of state. By stopping us playing games in our state they are forcing more travel, more crowding and more exposure. If there are tournaments to be played, I will be there but I think it’s foolish our state is forcing our players to leave the state head up to NH just to play games.

There won’t be games in RI. If competitive clubs or towns want to play games with real competition not just scrimmage other teams from their town or club they will have to travel this fall. Labor Day , Columbus and Thanksgiving weekends should all be good tournament weekends for teams. You’ll get in atleast two games per tournament so if you play in three you’ll get atleast 6 games this fall. I say jump on the tourney train because games ain’t happening this fall in RI. If your with a club like Liverpool or Bruno and not competing it’s time to look at Surf they will be at e wry single tournament they can find and they are looking for competitive teams not just their own teams. -

I don't know about clubs but I do know the towns could and should enter the tournaments as they will likely have nothing although CT, NY, MA and many other states have kids playing youth and high school.Comment

Anyone need "Guest Players" this weekend?
Looks like a great weekend for soccer tournaments. I know some clubs don't have enough players willing to go this weekend. if you club is looking for a "guest player" from another club or competitive town mention it here. I know lots of kids of all ages who have nothing to do because the towns din't organize anything and neither did some of the clubs. (By the way clubs, offering a scrimmage is not cutting it, if you didn't send your teams to NH you let your players down and they are already looking for new clubs.)Comment
