Not surprising but good decision in the circumstances.

If i want to avoid the risk, i could just keep my kid home and we wouldnt attend. A waiver shouldn't even be necessary since merely showing up is implied agreement that you're taking a chance. There were diseases before covid and there will be diseases after and we dont sign waivers to guarantee our safety in a world where guarantees can't exist.

If everyone could follow all the procedures to do a tournament safely then we can have the tournament. But there always seem to be a few yahoos who think the rules don't apply to them and ruin it for everyone.
Look at all the colleges that had to cancel their plans after one week because of the ones that refused to follow the guidance.

I know several people who had covid and a few died. I also know several people that have cancer and died. I broke my collarbone playing rugby, I went on to play several more years with other injuries.
would you like bubble wrap?

agreed, so stupid - suing someone because you think you got COVID at a tournament, maybe you got it in the supermartket or gas station or walking somewhere - you have no idea. If you're that concerned, stay home or double mask and keep away from everyone.

Every parent would love to see their kids playing soccer Labor Day weekend and the entire fall. Every parent would love to see their kids attending school in 2 weeks, play school sports and club soccer. Unfortunately, either these occupancies are uncertain or they just will not happen this fall. Those are the facts. So hope your “Smart ass” answers bring a smile to your face. Peo a lot smarter than you are making the important decisions based on the real data put forth by the medical community who know a lot more than this administration and President.

But for the rest of us that continue to go to work, shop for food and other necessities, etc ... we are all going to get exposed sooner or later. The only question is when. For 99+% of us we will either not get it or if we do get it we will get over it quickly. For the remaining <1% things may go sideways. But again, there is little that we can do to avoid that.

So where are we today: Colleges have cancelled fall sports, colleges have cancelled classes for online learning, soccer leagues have cancelled tournaments and our schools have no guidelines for opening. In other words we would not see a return to normalcy (hopefully) till the Spring 2021. In all begins in 76 days when the voters can overwhelmingly vote Trump gone. He has brought hell upon us with no empathy towards anyone but himself.
