There is no ****ing way this tournament will go off. Further, it’s irresponsible of NEFC to even have this on their website. However, because it’s all about money with NEFC
I’m not surprised it has not been removed.

If things remain as they are now in MA, I would hope that this tournament and Stars Cup will be possible (late aug and early sept) i don’t think they will be the same as in years past. Likely fewer teams from NY/NJ willing to travel for an overnight.

Not sure how it’s “irresponsible “ for NEFC to plan the tournament. If MA guidelines change and they can’t have the tournament, then it gets canceled. If they cancel and refuse to credit back clubs for the fee, that’s another story.

The NEF Kickoff and the Stars Cup more or less start off the club season in MA (hence the name of the Kickoff). If the tournament can't happen, then you'd have to think the fall season also isn't going to happen either—at least, not as planned.

Not necessarily. Tournaments are different than regular season games. Tournament crowds are harder to manage than a few parents at regular season games. Which is why MA has them in different phases.

How difficult would it be to say only 2 fans per player per team will be allowed & give parents passes/lanyads to be worn & visible while on tournament grounds. Anyone without a lanyard will be asked to leave the property. So maybe they have to pay for a little security. Charge $5 a lanyard & that pays off security. I don't think it's that difficult or would be that difficult.

It's not difficult and the kind of thing neighboring states are doing. But - this is MA...

There was a boys lacrosse tournament scheduled to take place this weekend at the fields in Lancaster. The tournament is still going on but was moved to fields in NH. Just because the clubs are MA based and the tournaments usually take place in MA doesn’t mean that they HAVE to
