Well, I went ahead and registered my kid for club soccer with a few hundred dollar deposit and monthly payments. Team is slated to start training next week (to be announced). What is everyone thinking? Will we end up playing soccer, or did I just gift money to the club again?

Word is MIAA wants HS sports, but it may be just Varsity. MYS has already said they plan on playing District Select and NEP is taking team registrations for the Fall. We'll be playing soccer.Comment

So now sports can't be played not because of the epidemic and that we need to shutdown/socially distance, but because schools in MA became dependant on State funding, which was dependent in large part on Federal funding instead of keeping the budget under control using local funds.Originally posted by Unregistered View Post

Second, not my problem. Maybe it's time to fire the six figure administrators and the hordes of teachers aides and assistants mandated by the State. FWIW, the above was mostly a rant, my kids go to private school and play mostly privates or big publics. If the administration came out and said they needed to charge an extra fee for the additional PPE/Buses/etc, everyone would pony up, because we all know that sports are important to raising well-adjusted young peopleComment
