They were with GPS out of Taunton. I’m sure some players will stick around, but Juve and Surf have already picked up many players and other clubs are sniffing around. If they market correctly how could they not pick up enough players to field one, if not multiple teams in each age group? With gps closing down and most clubs offering less than fair refunds it’s a no brainer. That said, quality maybe another issue.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

How is this a win? Other clubs already raided the best boys teams from GPS weeks ago. The coaches Scorpions hired had no choice but to stick around with GPS until they collapsed as they as they weren’t with GPS very long and didn’t have much in terms of pull with players to take them elsewhere or weren’t good enough to get the call for Surf or Juve. BF is a decent team coach, but can’t manage a region. Can’t follow through and gets distracted too easily. Didn’t do much for RI Rush and his handling of futsal for NEFC was a disaster.Originally posted by Unregistered View Post

It’s funny how scorpions claim to be one of the top clubs in MA because they have ECNL. Yet they’re hiring coaches from a crappy GPS Satellite whose teams and players are bottom of the barrel. Not even any of the top teams/players at GPS and we can all agree GPS was a sh*tty club compared to NEFC/Bolts/Select/Stars etc.
It’s pretty easy to see what this, just a money grab by the new Scorpions owners. These guys are just the same as any club. Will turn their own club into a McDonald’s and as long as your checkbook is open you’ll have a spot.
By the way, GP, how is this Asshat still even coaching after his HS gig.
