Are clubs going to charge full price while we train 5 at a time?

Has anyone heard what the clubs plans are for monthly payments while we are in modified training 5 at time for shorten periods? Our family is struggling with how we feel about this. What are other parents thoughts? Typically we practice 4 times a week at 90 minutes and now we will be training what sounds like twice a week for about 50 minutes.

This situation really isn't the fault of the clubs. If kids train in small groups every day, that means longer hours for coaches without additional compensation, and considering most coaches have multiple teams, the logisitics may be impossible. Our family is just planning to accept it since it's not a financial burden for us currently, but I know finances are rough for a lot of folks right now. Ideally, clubs would invite individual families who are struggling to make alternative payment arrangements. I totally get where you're coming from though -- we're used to 90 min/4xaweek too.

Just because it is groups of 5 a whole team can still practice they just have to be a certain amount of space apart. The coach can go between groups.

XF is not going to have multiple small groups at the field at the same time for safety sake. Same groups of 5 will consistently train together, and if one person gets sick, the entire group suspends training through recovery. What are other clubs doing?

Yep and each player will get a 5 by 5 box they have to stay in during the training session. Our kids are highschool age and this is just a joke. We essentially have to pay full price moving forward even though we wont get any full training ot games until we come back from highschool in December. Super excited about paying for 7 months of nothing.

Rather than complaining about the clubs, which seem to be trying to make the most of the situation, maybe direct your ire at the park officials who are taking a full three weeks after they were permitted to do so by the public health officials to get parks up and running for any practices at all. Based on the current trends Seattle and King County should be in phase 3 (which allows full training and games) by the second week of July, so there should only be a couple weeks of the training in groups of five.

If it's a financial burden, talk to your club. If it's just the principle of the thing that irks you, maybe try to cultivate the feeling that you're supporting a community business? This situation sucks, but trying to be understanding and generous whenever possible makes me feel slightly better. Some days are easier than others because again, this sucks

Re-read email from club. whole yeam is there at same time but divided in to small groups coach moving between them. There's not enough time in the day for a coach with multiple teams to do 1hr sessions 4 kids at a time.

                XF not charging this month

I was going off what was shared in a meeting but we got our schedule today and it looks like our team is doing 2 groups of 4 at a time but not the whole team...not sure if there will be other groups on the field or not

might depend on how many teams your coach has, or if you are a higher level team. ECNL teams will get preferential treatment. Our whole team there at once, we get 1/2 the field. Groups have 10' buffer between them. Training 2x a week for 50 min. Coach has 3 teams.

Was told the teams are training from 12-7, our time slots fall between 4 and 7. So I would guess some coaches are allowed to give more sessions to smaller groups.

Are you kidding??? Every club is going to charge full fees the moment your kid sets foot on the turf. They are sharpening the fleecing sheers right now LOL. It will be business as usual. Although I'm not sure what they will do if we go to a second lockdown.

Guess it depends on your club. Crossfire starting training this week, not charging until July 15. Crossfire foundation diverting some of it's funds to covid relief charities.

We have to start somewhere and if 5 kids at a time is where we start than I'm happy to support it. They get a month to dial it in and work the kinks out, players and parents get a chance to see if it is safe and works for their family before they start charging.
