Seven Arkansas State athletes tested positive for COVID-19 and are self-isolating for 14 days, Chancellor Kelly Damphousse said Thursday. The seven athletes are from three sports, and all were asymptomatic. They learned the results Wednesday night.

Damphousse said contact tracing has begun, and reports that three of the athletes had younger siblings try out for soccer last week at Florida Premier in Pasco County, Florida. Anyone who has been exposed to any of the seven athletes will be required to quarantine for 14 days.

The only "contact tracing" we have received is Florida Premier asking for our deposit within 48 hours. We're out.

Florida Premier were bragging that they were the first club to "open up"again.

All of these clubs have been having tryouts behind the scene with potential players. Funny that WFF now states its ok to return to practice June 8th but blasted FP for endangering child safety by hosting tryouts a week earlier. What changed in a week?

Bottom line is clubs in Pinellas and Hillsborough weren't allowed by the county because their fields were still closed. Those "banded" clubs would have hosted tryouts if they could.
