As much fun as the name-calling is, what interest is there in a forum that is both moderated and requires user registration (to cut down on people responding anonymously to their own posts, etc)?

Yes, this forum is a joke! There is an occasional bit of good information, but every thread is quickly ruined by morons.

how about a subreddit? It's probably the easiest way and it's free. Nobody need to worry about the cost for hosting etc.

who runs this site? wouldn't it just be easier to keep this infrastructure and require registration to post? usernames can still be anonymous and we can't be the only state in the US with morons for soccer parents

The socal board (which is moderated and requires uesernames) has state-specific sections for norcal and texas, so is now basically a socal/norcal/texas board. One easy fix would be to start a Washington chat there.

It's not "moderated" in the sense that posts require prior approval. Plus it's pseudonymous, not anonymous; not sure they take any measures to prevent users from registering multiple accounts.
