Penn Fusion for girls is a fraud

For a place that is supposed to be so great at developing players, they sure don't get the results. Just look at their teams in the DA standings

    U-18: 2nd Place
    U-17: 3rd Place
    U-16: 5th Place (LOL)
    U-15: 5th Place (LOLOL)
    U-14: 5th Place (LOLOLOL)
    U-13: 1st Place

The B teams in USYS are even worse and this is with them handpicking every kid they want.

2 or maybe 3 decent teams out of 6 age groups isnt anything special. Don't waste your money. The coaching obviously isnt anything great. All fluff and no substance.

Eh girls soccer in EPA is all pretty weak - look how poorly the Bucks and Delco teams have performed in the ECNL - at or near the bottom continually through the last several years. Just find a place where your kid is happy.

Sounds like a competitor running scared. Penn Fusion is great. Even better, great college coaches know it as well.

Can see why Bucks and Delco are bad, they are just getting the leftovers from PF, but PF and their rosters full for of D-1 recruits shouldn't bee that poor.

You realize that results don't matter except to the clueless. GDA and successful youth soccer is geared to developing the individual player not making cogs.
That is why they have been quite successful in college placements. Their kids know how to fit into any system and contribute.
You want kiddie hardware. They want to develop talent. Seems like their mindset is working quite well.

Truth be told my kid played ECNL and GDA for them. Many college offers.

Ah, the "results don't matter" culture. Reality is that the PF brand does gets the kids in schools -- sure, no one can deny that. But dig deeper into what goes on there.

How much money are they getting to play soccer, if any? How many are really excelling at a higher level compared to how many never break through? Sure they have some success stories like any other club, but "coaching" all of that talent should yield results that are better than mediocre and should see more kids contributing in college than sitting on the bench.

The point is that you PF people all think your kid is "the most talented" or that they are getting "the best coaching", but in reality you are all just pre-paying for college by spending a ton for the PF branding to be placed on your child.

Loser mentality that bleeds to kids and parents who only play for themselves and not the team. And then when they go to college they fail (aside of the ones that are truly talented) because they are surrounded by better players and can't play within a team concept. It's great model.

I know kids at great schools on full rides or at least 70%. Pretty good ROI if you ask me.

No one is saying they play for themselves. They develop to succeed and play. They know how to play not need to be in a certain system. And are playing professionally.

Oh and i actually got money back at end of year at PF. It was cheaper than USYS where we did nothing but tournaments and national/regional leagues. And yes many of our club girls are quite talented.

Meanwhile no threads on here from members bashing are there? Not saying everyone is happy because impossible to please everyone, but most are. It is like a family. Sorry your kid didn't make the cut.

The Fusion kids just aren't that good when in environments where they have to actually compete. The badge can't protect them once they leave and it often plays out with more Fusion kids on the bench or quitting than not.

The negative posts are probably from the sour person that proclaimed that ECNL would never want PF back. Yet within no time, viola, back.

That speaks volumes actually about how PF (and their players because they are only as good as their product) are actually viewed.
