Didn’t get into ECNL...players scattering left and try to try to get on with other ECNL teams...they may be trying to hold out hope for GAL (second tier league) but they won’t have any players left at that point. Feel bad for the players.

Are you sure the finals decisions have been made? Truth is our state needs more quality teams and only way to do that is designate more teams because than the talent will spread out. Trust is they need more local teams because travel should be out for a while. Need to put financial and hard feelings aside for once for the betterment of the kids

the last thing we need is more teams, talent is already to dilute.
Sorry it's a crap timing for Reign with DA screwing them over and covid coming along. Not sure what they can do since their whole club was built on the pathway to DA.

Ok we disagree. A quality team doesn’t need 11 star players. Not to mention kids develop based on ability and responsibility they are given. Super teams don’t develop talent sorry to inform you. Look at Chris bosh, Kevin love and klay Thompson. All of those haven’t developed into the players they could have been because they had to take a back seat. So yes spreading the talent out helps also different players thrive in different coaching systems. Look at Liverpool. Salah was an after thought until klopp. Same with firmino. Vvd was good but not great. Kids need opportunity to succeed and sticking talented kids on benches or playing the. Out of position doesn’t. Work.

Washington ECNL is too diluted. Reign is in trouble at certain age groups. The uncertainty will not help. Feel for the girls that had a good team and will be split but the good ones will find an ECNL spot. Some will find a B team.

If Reign doesn’t end up in ECNL they’ll have an opportunity to compete in GAL, which apparently will have more than 75% of the clubs that were in DA plus some others and plenty of talent. If Reign can’t hold onto its players it won’t be because of not getting a decision on ECNL yet. The stronger DA clubs around the country that aren’t getting into ECNL seem to be mostly holding onto their players and coaches. There’s every reason to think GAL will have showcases, college exposure, competitive teams and all the other stuff DA or ECNL have (take a gander at their instagram page, which was created a couple days ago and is already followed by D1 coaches and programs from around the country).
Many states have strong girls only clubs (so cal blues, Tophat, etc). Reign is the only girls only club in WA, so they are offering something unique and different in this market. They seem to be offering more opportunities to female coaches and directors than most clubs. They are the local club that is tied to one of nine pro teams in the country, and players from the pro team often serve as assistant coaches and run training sessions. They have a strong record of placing kids in college programs and on youth national teams (one of the top five clubs in the country on that front over the past couple years). And they’ve only been around four seasons, and this is the first year they’ve built our younger teams and b teams. Unlike most of the local ECNL teams, they’ve never had bloated 20+ player rosters and usually have around 16-18. They had teams in all the age groups from u15 and up that are certainly as good or better than most of the local ECNL teams. And a lot of people like their current coaches. So there are plenty of reasons why one might choose to stay there regardless of how the ECNL decision shakes out.
Reign also has its share of issues, as all clubs do. Those issues — communication, costs, running tryouts in a way that makes decisions take forever and ends up with teams posted and selected after everyone else, building stability in a coaching staff, not having a grass roots base and relying on players from around a broader area, poor relationships with other local clubs — and the combination of them have made Reign a lot weaker than it could have been. Ultimately, whether Reign’s teams completely fall apart and whether the club continues to field competitive teams in one elite league or another will come down to how significant those issues are and how it deals with them rather than whether or not they get into ECNL.

GAL isnt going to happen. ECNL isnt going to happen. PSPL is happening. Or do the right thing and quit stringing these kids along.

Or do you still think they will be able to charge the highest fees with no league to play in.

Starting to wonder if all these posts encouraging Reign girls to jump ship are from coaches at rival clubs who want to poach the players. There's nothing credible here except that they are waiting for news, like a lot of other West Coast DA clubs

Seriously this has to be a desperate attempt to salvage the program. It is unfortunate what has happened but it’s time to accept the fact and move in for the sake of the players.
Reign already cost a lot and even if GA league happens there will be more travel because nobody in the northwest is playing in that league. And no there was no financial help from ownership previously and there won’t be In the future so parents burden that expense.
Second , you say B teams etc? Reign could barely field teams for matches and travel trips. They moved players around all over the place. And yes this did happen cause leadership addressed parents concerns about this and sent an email.
It is crazy that you continue to push this argument when everybody knows that without folding of the DA there is no program. I know of players that have already jumped ship. So I suggest you get act appropriately and stop the denial.

Maybe step back and think for a second before posting this garbage.
