DA is dead so now there's nothing to stop it going back to school year. There will already be a ton of upheaval this year so adding another element won't really matter and at least this one makes sense - they need to try and keep as many players playing as they can and the calendar year has had a negative impact at the lower levels of youth soccer.Comment

This would be the year to do it. With DA gone, ECNL and NPL rosters will be changing. Add the age group switch in and rosters would be greatly shaken up. In many ways this would be easier for kids than thinking they were bumped off their existing team. There is no existing team- every team is significantly changed.
