Given it's a case that it fueled by sexism, making a sexist argument was a really bad idea. He's in some ways correct, but the arguments should focus on contract law, revenues etc
Wow did ussf screw this up. Even if they believe the women are slackers compared to the men, why are they stupid enough to write that down and say it in public!
They should pay them the same salary for a regular game ( friendlies) or tournament games. They should get the same hotel, flights and per diems as the men. The only difference that would be out of their control is the tournament prize money. If they don't think the prize money is worth playing then don't play to make a statement. As long as you play you say the prize money is good enough. Either they will buck up more $$ or they won't, but you cannot pay them prize money if you don't win it. If i read it right, the women want US soccer to make up the difference in prize money mens teams make for winning their tournaments. That unfortunately is not fair to US soccer ( as much as i think they are dickwads).

USSF is a 501c3 Non-Profit...like the Red Cross. Could you imagine if the Red Cross said-well we can't give women as much aid as we give men because one of our largest donors thinks men have to work harder to succeed than women do, so the women will have to just deal with what we give them because at the end of the day, men tend to make more money.

its a fact that the woman are only popular every 4 years (i think its wrong but it is what it is).
The usa woman can't pack a stadium like the men can for a friendly or concacaf game. (i think its wrong but it is what it is).
The woman don't get the tv viewer ship like the men do (i think its wrong but it is what it is).
it is what it is, instead of the woman making a baseless and futile fight for more money that is not there...they should cont. to promote the womans game enough so that the general public would rather see the woman play much more than the men.
Then and only then the woman have a firm foundation for more money. (at your job, if you are not producing how can you ask for more money?).

How is that relevant? Not all 501c3's operate the same. Red Cross's madate is to provide aid. USSF is to handle United States Soccer. If one group generates more revenue, they should be paid more, no? That's basic economics.
The case will be decided in court. At this point, both the former law firm, and the former head of ussf that were responsible for the completely offensive and abhorrent recent arguments about the lower level of "skill and responsibility" present in the female players, are out.
ussf has apologized for that line of reasoning, president has resigned and the law firm was fired.
