Should matches/training be suspended for Coronavirus

Interested to see what the forum thinks.
Several clubs announced the suspension of training through at least March.
How about late March matches and into April?
Should this be a club, US Soccer, league or NJ Youth Soccer decision.
So far the clubs themselves are making the decision to suspend activities.
This outbreak comes as many clubs hold (early) tryouts.

Leagues / governing bodies have to take a lead on this. I sense that all youth soccer will be shut down pretty soon.

"Update as of March 11, 2020

The safety and health of our players, parents, families, and coaches is our top priority. Given the current health and travel concerns surrounding COVID-19, EDP Soccer continues to monitor the recommendations and guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), state and local authorities, US Soccer, US Youth Soccer, and the US Youth Soccer State Associations.

At this time, based on expert information and guidance from our partners, all EDP tournaments, events, and leagues will proceed as originally scheduled.

EDP Soccer remains committed to providing safe playing environments. Thank you for your consideration and cooperation as we all work through this situation. Stay tuned to this page for future updates. If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact EDP at info@edpsoccer.com."

Directly from their site. Could change at any time I imagine. People really do need an outlet and some normalcy during stressful time like this. So I hope that individual outdoor matches continue. But they may fold under pressure.

Heard most clubs are shutting down training & development sessions. Good thing for MFA, they don't train players so nothing changes on their end.

Don't worry they will find a way to charge their players for "at home" training sessions!

One of worst things about containment efforts is that on top of worry about the virus you are adding isolation and inactivity. Not a great combination.

You are far less likely to get anything while outside on an open field then inside. As long as practices are outside and players aren't huddled around each other everything should be fine. How many time have you seen a time pass the flu or cold to each other? Now if you are inside that would be a different story.

They will charge extra for the in home sessions for sure. There is the added effort of finding a drill on YouTube or typing up an email.

What if the entire practice is based on cupcake sharing and tik tok creation?
