If you had to choose between Crossfire, Seattle United, Eastside, or Reign Academy which would you choose and why?? Playing on the top team at each club and obviously on the girls side.

Choice would be first based on training location and specific coach.
Beyond that. Crossfire-fully funded.

Crossfire for hardcore, plan to play in college.
Pac for early development and fundamentals, some college ops. Be prepared to lose a lot of games, but if you're smart, you'll be okay with that.
Eastside for social soccer, although there are a FEW good coaches, they are spread out among the age groups, so you might have a good coach one year, then grandma or grandpa who played 40 years ago for your next coach. Imagine Frank the tank from old school, or the grandma from Titanic.

If you want to play in college, play on the ECNL team at any of the clubs where your kid will be a starter. The lower you are on the roster totem pole the less opportunities you'll have for playing time including exposure at showcases.

Not if you are chasing the ball for 90 minutes, the only players getting better in reign are defenders

Crossfire - stable with national rep & track record of players who commit to college, dedicated practice space, ECNL fully funded, many coaches have been there a long time, so if you ask around you will find out the good, bad and ugly. Your kid can play HS soccer or another fall sport at school
Reign -- DA is a high level of competition with good visibility to colleges. Your kid may not play a lot, depending on their skills. I've heard some good things about newer coaches. you pay $$ and your kid misses a lot more school than with ECNL.
Eastside -- newer ECNL program, nice practice fields, some mixed reviews on coaches but your mileage may vary. It cost$ Your kid can play HS soccer
SU -- RR is Dir of Girls Coaching and ECNL, coaches the two oldest ECNL teams & hires everyone. He was at Xfire and Reign before SU, so you can get plenty of opinions on his style from parents who've dealt with him. SU doesn't have dedicated fields but does train at UW a lot because RR is on staff there too. Program cost$. I suggest reading some older posts on the program. Kid can play HS soccer
I'm guessing PACNW isn't convenient for you, but it's a stable program with dedicated facility that works hard to help kids find a college spot. Seems very well organized. ECNL cost$, kid can play HS.

ecnl and gda are different animals. ecnl is for players who want to play in college. gda is for the handful of legit national team players and all their dutiful practice partners who know and accept their role.
Originally posted by Unregistered View PostFunny that you think that the Gda patch automatically makes them tops. Check Reign, real so cal, and Legend’s records versus ECNL when the play outside their league in showcases like Silverlakes. They don’t fare too well.
