My daughter is a stand out on her local travel team, and we are looking to take her to a club which plays at the next level. FC Bucks looks like a joke, so we aren't considering that an option. Please don't try to persuade me otherwise. Would Delco be a good place to go or should we look at a different club?

As shocking as it may seem, Delco is as big, if not a bigger mess than FC Bucks. If FC Bucks makes coaching changes, I would go to FC Bucks. However, I would drive the extra 20 miles to PDA South or to Penn Fusion. Delco is brutal. The only thing they get right is charging your credit card on time. Go to Lower Merion at this age group. The coach at LM has better connections if your daughter wants to play in college. It's really that simple.Comment

I would say contact the coach have your kid go to a few practices. See how good the training is - talk to the coach and see what his long term plans for the team is, talk to the other parents and see if they are happy and see if your kid likes the environment and other girls.
Delco although they did not have a good fall ECNL does have some very good talented players at this age group including a recent call up to the Youth National Training Center. Having that kind of talent on a team will bring college scouts to the games.
If you don’t like Delco check out some high level EDP teams, and I agree with you from everything I’ve heard Bucks is a mess.Comment

Hahaha. Because Got Soccer says? Okay. My friends kid played on a team that Got Soccer ranked #1 in the galaxy or some other absurd rank. Many of those kids were not heavily recruited, did not go to great programs overall and a good amount are not even playing soccer in college as their sport if they are playing at all. This is hysterical - what you said can be found at all levels and leagues - lots of kids don’t end up playing college soccer regardless of the league, and frankly at Bucks and Delco which are the two area ECNL teams most of their kids are not playing at so called great college soccer programs either.Originally posted by Unregistered View Post

I would also look at Ukies. They have a college coach who has great connections if you want to play in college. Connections will get you further than a coach blindly showing up to watch a game. That is, if they even go watch a local ECNL team like Bucks or DelcoComment
