Equal playing time below ages of U15 should be expected. Kids develop at different times and ages. I have seen too many times some kid gets anointed the next messi at age 9 only to not be playing at age 14. Or there is an injury, they move away, they leave club to go ECNL and DA. If a coach U14 and under does not play all players and develop them all equally you should find a new club I recall from the WNT Morgan not making her club team at age 13. at U14 we had a player that was always on the B team suddenly make the A team, was soon the best player and was recruited by the top DA team in the area and quickly became the best player on that team. We currently have a kid on our high school team that has always been an ok club player then out of nowhere senior year is one of the best players in the County. Any coach that does not understand this is a bad coach, part of a bad club. They need to change the terms and get parents on board from the beginning that you are paying for developmental soccer not competitive soccer. If they are doing a good job at developing they will be competitive.

Er, hello. Have you lived in Florida long? Win is the name of the game, equal time for all means u might pick up a few losses here and there.

Tough call. Too many variables for it to be a simple yes or no

U13 and under should be equal. Middle school should be dialed back to good but not necessarily equal. HS+ is about earning it, but a club taking 3k a year for benchwarmers is more worried about their bottom line than player churn

It depends on the level. Rec level, or low level travel soccer, should have balance within playing time.

Higher level travel soccer is a different story. Kids should play, but there does not need to be even time given, and maybe in some games, the weakest kids get little to no time in tight games. Players should be fighting for time.

There is a level offered to all players in this country so make sure that you pick a level that best meets the needs of your child or be comfortable with limited time at the hight levels if your child is not up to standards.

Jealous? Better to have 8 teams with small rosters than 5 with big rosters. If clubs managed roster sizes better PT wouldn't be an issue.

do u keep your kid on the A team with little or no playing time or move to the B team with starting ability and much playing time?

At which age level do you consider younger?
