How far in advanced do US Training Center invites go out?

    Months? Month? Weeks? Days?

Not camp, just the training centers.

That is roughly the notice we received for 2 training centers this year. That was on boys side.

Thank you for a useful answer. Now if you can restore the natural order of TS and say something like "If you have to ask your little Mia ain't invited" or "its all political and this is why US Soccer is doomed to be a failure" that would be great.

If you ever get the chance to observe one of these or a YNT camp it is fascinating. You get to see first hand how bad USSF is. It is really unbelievable. The things I heard out of MLS DA coach’s confirmed to me why we suck. They recruited only on physical ability and athleticism. They knew nothing of soccer IQ.

Ussf follow the lead of the recommendations from the clubs. The system is corrupt. Not saying the players are not strong but that is not it. They come from certain clubs almost always. And 1 or 2 or maybe 3 each.

Have been to a few of these. Almost always the same clubs. The chances of the best talent always coincidentally being at the same clubs over and over is impossible.

Very true. USSF wants to push the idea that MLS DA is the top level of youth soccer. NT selection is based on this to a large degree. Look at press release for any YNT event or camp. It is hard to get recognized outside of DA. And if you do, you don’t get a fair opportunity to advance.

The shortsightedness of USSF only using DA clubs for selections will get us nowhere. Unfortunately they've dug their heels in so deep and are so stubborn they won't blow the whole thing up until we've lost several more years of opportunities. Then top it off with US Soccer HQ chaos, bad coaching and development and the men's NT will only qualify when we host the WC.

No new info here. You new the deal on high level football selection - big and bad 1st. Thats for DA, GDA, ECNL and right down the ladder. Your family lineage should have incorporated more red meat growing up.

True for youth teams but for the first team. They could care less what the player's history is.

Before GDA and after is the same. Just a power struggle now where there wasn't as visible one before. Makes you see how things were done before GDA with certain clubs always getting the nod.

^^ the whiners whine because now the boot is on the other foot. System has never been open and inclusive pre or post GDA.
