    Looking to change clubs

It’s Fall season - the leaves are changing and so begins the talk of players within clubs thinking about making the jump to other clubs for Spring tryouts. We live in Waterbury area and are thinking the same for our middle school aged son. Have sampled CFC (no thanks) and FSA is too far for us. Recommendations for other clubs - not much to pick from where we are.

rush is excellent. had some coaching changes but definitely have some strong age groups. Girls 03 have has brilliant success. heard boys teams are good too, depending on age

Not even sure this thread is legit. Waterbury to FSA is half an hour, a bit more in rush hour. That's too far? Sorry but if you want decent soccer for older kids you're probably going to have to drive (unless you're lucky enough to live close to a decent club). For boys FSA probably is your best bet. Did you look at CFCU or just a branch? CFC branch teams are not good for boys, united is a better bet. Bethel is 40 min or so. Another option is AC CT based in Danbury, about the same distance. Rush in that area is very weak.

lol did a Rush owner post this? The girls 03 team is an outlier and they're based in Wilton. Wilton is the only decent Rush branch and the coach that lead that 03 team went to AC CT.

What does Bethel have to do with anything? If you meant Bethany, well that’s under 20 mins from anywhere in Waterbury.

ridiculous to spend all that money on a turf field you can even use at night during the fall

I've heard that Hat City FC in Danbury is going to be an excellent club and one to watch next year.

Definitely a Rush coach or owner. Wilton has always been the top branch for Rush. Problem there is they have a town club that is trying to get them out. You add to that the defection of their coach, PO, to AC CT. All the HS boys followed him and there is nothing left at Rush on Boys side. Once Wilton Rush crashes the club is done. Their Waterbury branch is a joke.

cfc is really good at playing with headlamps. you know they are good when they kick it really high and all the players can zoom in on it with their headlamps in complete darkness.
