FCIAC players in college juniors and seniors

JB of St. Joseph - senior at BC (iut for season) has been consistent starter since freshman year
LL of St. Joseph - senior starter at Colgate
MG of St. Joseph - senior starter at Bryant
EB of Greenwich - senior starter at MIT
CD of Westhill - junior starter at Northeastern
LS of Staples - junior starterr at Yale
AG of Warde - junior at Middlebury
LT of Warde - red shirt freshman at Wake Forest
CR of Staples - no longer on Fordham roster
TZ of Staples - no longer on Bucknell roster

Are other FCIAC standout athletes getting meaningful minutes as juniors or seniors in college?

Not the OP, but it’s a sobering reminder of how difficult it is to continue playing soccer after high school.

As a side note, CB at UD is getting serious minutes as a freshman. 2 goals on 2 shots which is how it’s done.

The stats on playing all four years aren't great, especially in D1. Injuries, burnout, cuts for the shiny new freshman, players wanting to focus on their next chapter. Make sure you love the school and can see yourself there with or without soccer.

But if someone started this thread to talk about specific players (shame on them) or make some kind of argument that certain clubs or coaches produce more college players? Sista please, that's been beaten to death.

I just want to put my daughter on the internet so everyone can see and praise her.

You'd think they'd know by now - don't put a target on your kids' back on this forum. It usually goes badly.

I wouldn’t think most schools cut or are allowed to cut unless maybe a new coach comes in. But even then cutting a kid currently in the program seems like a fight not worth having. But maybe they make their lives miserable and the kid cuts themselves. I suppose also possible that if a kid is a nightmare over the all elusive PT, they might drop them.

Of course they make cuts. Coaches are looking all the time to improve their teams. Their objective is to win games and keep their jobs. If you're not delivering, buh bye. They'll either cut you flat out or never play so you leave on your own. Only PAC 5 conferences guarantee your scholarship for all 4 years but that doesn't guarantee you will play.

I won’t dignify the trolls with initials, but your list is about 30% complete and at least 50% misleading. You call for junior/seniors, but list a redshirt freshman. You’ve missed at least one big name from STJ’s and one of your entries has played anything BUT significant minutes in her time at uni.

In addition, off the top of my head I can think of 2 from DANBURY, 2 from Wilton, 4 from Ridgefield, and 1 from Darien - all JRs Srs and all getting significant minutes. That matches your list in #.
