People underestimate how strong basketball is becoming globally. Put one nation's top team against our bench warmers and sure it can happen, even more so if our players went in cocky just because they're in the NBA. Our top stars dont' want to participate in this event that no one has even heard about. The injury risk isn't worth it to them. Plus the regular NBA season is brutal, even worse if you're in the playoffs. The regular season starts soon enough. They want and need time off. Even the Olympics are tough to get top players for the same reasons. I went to a few of the 1996 games when we had out best - Barkley, Hill, Shaq, Pippen etc. The games were painful to watch because they weren't even games.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

USA's only All-NBA team selection was Kemba WALKER. He was selected to the 3rd team. He is one of the top 15 players we have that wanted to participate. Rudy GOBERT, France's center, is an All-NBA 3rd team selection.
