Freya Coombe named Sky Blue head coach

    https://www.soccerwire.com/news/sky-...im-head-coach/

Ironically she is qualified to be a professional coach but not a coach of Wilton High School

Yes she was so successful with her GDA team it makes total sense.

That’s because the Wilton parents know so much about soccer and we’re all born with big foot in their mouths.

No, it’s because you were so talented as a Rec player at your kid’s age and now you know so much about soccer.

Well, Quitter didn’t quit college and Coombe has successfully moved on so maybe it was all for the best.

She was given the oldest team very late in the game as NYSC got the badge pretty last minute. Good luck convincing any quality (mostly) seniors to move over at that point to a new team.

She's a great coach and really cares about her players. A rare combination. Congratulations to her.

What's to quit? Her college team is awful

Changes for the better at NYSC

More power to her that she stuck it out. Just another example of how High School sports are a are but a small chapter in a person’s life and a parent(s) losing their sh!t over it is wasted energy that can better spent elsewhere.

Tell that to the Wilton parents who got FC fired. FC is the success story out of that debacle, not the quitter(s).

It was the second year of NYSC in GDA. Heard that parents weren't happy with her and she would not have been coaching that age if she stayed this year.

NYSC club parents might be worse than Wilton parents.

Correct but they did get the badge late for 2017-18 season, not getting them off to a very good start. FC only coached there this past year.
