I’ve been reading some of these posts bashing Susa and Barca. So, if they are so terrible, what program in Suffolk has the best player development program for a U12 boy?

Barca is actually pretty good, just expensive and disorganized and their fields situation is still in limbo. SUSA's top teams are also trained very well, but their lower teams are given crap coaches but have to pay the same exorbitant fees.

If they are a top, top, top player you can look to susa or barca... different style and philosophy.... if they are not a top player you get b-c or d teams ( with susa) and pay $4k a year. Barca is a bargain in comparison with $2800 a year but you a shlepping to nassau county until they get a field in kings park sorted out.

In addition to the above, unless your kid is some superstar, just look through the LIJSL divisions for your kids specific age group and look for some teams near you that are in the higher divisions. Odds are they are coached well to be in those higher divisions. There are nuggets to be found in even the smallest of clubs.
