Solidarity payments to clubs that charge people? No way Jose. Payments should go to parents payers WDF.

Good man for speaking up. Maybe some directors at locals clubs should do the same.

The vast, majority of the fraction of players that will go pro will play at MLS clubs. Several have or are adding residency programs so they can pluck players from anywhere in the US. If they're making that kind of investment they deserve the payment. Also, real studs at non MLS clubs usually get comp'd. Pulisic's club was not MLS but do you really think he paid a dime? His club is getting a decent payment, and his parents get the satisfaction of watching their kid play professionally in Europe.

Why? It’s all about the $$$. Specifically in Florida, the fees are double compared to other states.

There’s a lot more to this story I assure you. Always two sides, and this guy is obviously burned.

Quality players at any age level should not be paying

Proof is in the pudding. I think BDA is going into it's 12th year now with very few success stories. It's gotten too big to meet the needs of the nation's elite players. It's only a matter of time until MLS clubs pull out completely. In the long run that will help improve US pro soccer and the MNT. But US Soccer also needs a complete revamp of NT talent identification and development.

Dumbest comment ever. No explanation why and not insightful at all. The article shows all the problems with US Soccer being controlled by one of the ****tiest leagues in the world.
