You forgot to mention CFC 17s went 2-1. Both CFC teams were in the top bracket Champions League, while FSA was in the lowly Showcase bracket. Only reason FSA players went was to try and get recruited.
CFC U15s Champions League 0-3 with 2 games lost by one point (3rd was uglier 0-3)
CFC U17s Champions League 2-1 and only loss was by one point to the #1 team in the NW
FSA U17s Showcase 0-3 4 GF, 10 GA. Games were 3-2, 3-0, 4-2.

CFC teams played some of the top teams in the country with mixed results. No doubt loads of coaches on the sidelines. FSA lost to other lower ranked teams with less coach attendance. I think most CFC U17s are recruited while many FSA's were not. If they got some interest while there then it's still a win for them. Yes it's true coaches shop players, not teams. But it doesn't set a good tone if you're on a lower quality team that can't compete against similar teams.

7 points vs 6 points.

Regardless of outcome, it was an experience for the players. Stop comparing and shaming these teams. Worry about your own player and cut the crap.

OW woulda kicked azz AND taken names. None of the wishy-washy boot-it play you got from CFC-FSA. Probably, Sporting could have racked up the same impressive results as FSA.

The best part is that the person who started this thread isn't in San Diego.
Truly, you don't know what you don't know. Every coach from every D1 team in the country is there watching these kids play. There is no downside here, even if you go 0-3, which neither CFC team did.

Did you watch the World Cup group stage? You advance to the knock out round by earning points
If CFC was playing in a playoffs and earned one less point they missed advancing by a point. It’s not rocket surgery. Even you east of the river hicks can keep up
