    VAR really sucks

France should not get a do over. She missed the goal plain and simple.

3 French players encroached, so they shouldn't have been given a do over. Watch the replay.

I agree, if they are going to look at the keeper...they also need to look at the encroachment. the rules are the rules.

Overall I haven't been a fan. Whether or not the rulings are correct, in all cases it slows down the game tremendously. We don't want soccer to turn into the NFL, stopping all the time. Sports aren't perfect. Stop expecting it to be.

Sports aren't perfect but I think that game changing decisions should be as correct as possible. In soccer more games are decided in these critical moments which make the correct decision more important than other sports.

Girls soccer, are we talking about Girls soccer? Must be a slow day in the swamps when this is all we have to talk about.

I heard a python was found in the Everglades. More interesting than girls soccer..

I agree that the correct decision should be made. I this particular situation the keeper off their line or players encroaching in the box had no affect on the ball hitting the post and going wide. There should not have been a re-kick.

Also, by looking at the VAR video shown during the game, IMO did not give enough information. From the video I saw, they showed the keeper off her line as the ball appears to move forward, not when Wendie Renard struck the ball. There is a difference. Since the ball if filled with air, the ball will absorb the foot/energy and deform before it actually going forward.

The foul in another game where the player had their cleat up playing the ball and the attacking player ran into it. Looked really bad in slow motion VAR. But real time, not so much. VAR gave a penalty kick.

VAR should be done in regular speed. No slow motion. If it can't be deciphered I'm regular speed whether the correct decision was made on the field, then they need to live with the refs decision.

Good idea. Use it if a different angle is needed to make a determination. Somebody also suggested making it like football where each team gets one VAR request per half. Then it will be more limited and teams will ask for it only for more critical game altering calls.
