Non-Oregon family here, but we enjoyed Friendship Cup and hope to be back. Seemed well organized, venues were good, and competition was good. Our only gripe was that we didn’t have ARs all weekend, but...get it that there is a referee shortage since most coaches are insane and no one wants to be abused to ref a kids’ soccer game.

With ECNL and DA as options now, RTC/ODP and it's events (Friendship Cup) have lost their luster. Not a whole lot there anymore. Some benefits for the younger ages, but for U14 and beyond, it's DA or ECNL

My kid is still having fun with ODP. Phoenix was fun this year, even
with the rain. Have lots of friends in the pool and travel team,
outside of the club. FYI for dimwitted parents, this is where they
try to recruit your players to come over to their team.
No strangers at this level and they all know each other for years.
Oops, said too much. Shhh!

The soccer is no better or worse than your club team. That’s a fact. I know this because even if you are on a top 4 team in Oregon you still are a joke outside of Oregon.
Can’t be da because thorns are terrible. Not better in Ecnl because Ecnl teams are a joke players by b teams. Can’t be OYSA because there isn’t enough good teams cept 1-2 at each age.
Don’t do ODP. That’s fine you aren’t missed. Keep being jealous of the people who are.
