    OC to end Academy for Younger Ages

    PARENTS BEWARE: Orlando City has decided to eliminate Academy Play for U14 and under. If your player was offered a spot at OC Academy for the younger ages please confirm with the organization as they are trying to bate the players and then offer them ECNL and Purple Teams once they have committed. ECNL players beware as you will be pushed down to Purple once you have committed.

                So I read this and said this is complete BS. I contacted a friend who coaches with another MLS DA and he said that there is definitely truth to all MLS DA’s possibly dropping the younger ages in the DA. He hadn’t heard about OC dropping theirs this next year but won’t be surprised if they did.

                    OC is a dumpster fire and always will be. They had everything handed to them and managed to screw it all up. Unfortunate but true.

                      I hope this is not true as it would be a terrible disservice to the kids and parents. How hard is it to communicate with parents with regards to their child’s placement?

                      A few short years ago ocys was a powerhouse now they seem more screwed up than rush!

                        Yeah there is gonna be some annoyed kids and parents if true....everywhere else is done so where they gonna go.

                        The DA club map seems updated though and OC is on there for all ages so......

                            I really hope Inter Miami has learned from OC’s mistakes and takes a different approach than OC has with the Central Florida community. They had it all and systematically ruined all relationships/agreements they establish with people/coaches, clubs and even their most loyal players/families that have always supported them.

                              Facts are facts. They pulled out of MV last minute and they have zero Staff and other MLS Clubs are dropping the DA for younger ages....
                              Put whatever you want on your map, this does not instill confidence.
