Here we go...This partnership will allow for players to train and play at the highest levels.

Let me guess, the boys and girls are going to travel to Netherlands during the summer or just like Liverpool FC, they'll send 3-4 coaches a year for a camp. Unfortunately, the highest level here, which all that matters is DA & ECNL. Yeah okay!

Those two from FPFC are not good for the program. I am sure they will get a nice cut out of this(besides a free trip overseas) This is just another example of a non profit putting the parents money to work. Why not invest in the children who's parents are paying you instead of a merger with a club overseas. What a joke...

I can't believe clubs are still jumping the shark with this gimmicky bull****, and parents are dumb enough still to fall for it.

I was going to say the same thing.

It's ok for TBU to be affiliated with the Rowdies. A team that isn't even in MLS. But if FPFC, Liverpool, or Celtic want to partner with real soccer programs they get flamed. Gotta love the TS trolls. smh

Really, let's just take the logistics of this situation. Is FPFC going to be flying their coaches over to train? The flight would cost more than they pay the coaches. The Rowdies are located in town and from a logistical perspective it is brilliant.

When do the Rowdies coaches ever attend training sessions for the youth club? How about NEVER! And are Rowdies coaches on the same level as any European club...not even close.

So what if the Rowdies are located in town. What's that got to do with anything?? So tell me this..... are the Rowdies coaches on the same level as the Feyenoord Rotterdam, Liverpool or Celtic coaches?? NO EVEN CLOSE!!!!! How often do the Rowdies coaches train the players at TBU?

TBU has a wonderful program and is the best soccer programs in the Tampa Bay area. But stop fooling yourself! Just because the Rowdies are closer doesn't mean they are doing more. They probably do as much as the Liverpool and Celtic coaches do in Florida. At least Liverpool and Celtic don't have to wear those horrendous looking jerseys.

Wait...didn't TBU just have two players play for the Rowdies in their US Cup game? Oh okay, is not MLS, we get it. Please tell me how many Liverpool and Celtic players, have been invited to train overseaa based on their talent? NONE. Please don't include the whole team travle b.s. In you last post, you compared European coaches with Rowdies coaches. Any dumbass knows those European coaches are better. However, one week of them training your club players, is not going to do **** for their development. Better yet, I'm sure those European coaches can't wait to go back after trying to train rec players for a week. SMH!

Dude… Admit it. The Rowdies affiliation with TBU is trash. And the fact that you want to brag about any kid playing for the Rowdies says all that anyone needs to know about your knowledge or lack there of about soccer. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The Rowdies coaches do train TBU players, many times during the season. DA trains with Rowdies staff several times at Al Lang. The Rowdies staff has been at ECNL training with several age groups over the course of this season. The Rowdies sent scouts around the Bay Area from August-September and invited around 25 players in older and younger age groups to train with the staff at Al Lang one night. Most of them were TBU players, but there was a mix from several clubs in both age group ranges.

4 TBU ECNL players spent the Rowdies pre-season training with the team and 3 of them played in pre-season matches, against both the MLS teams and college teams they played. Last week, 2 of those players made their 1st team debut in their US Open Cup match. I don't see any FL Celtic players making their 1st team debut in Glasgow, I doubt if anyone in Scotland even know there's an 'affiliation.' The closest any other club made to players actually getting a shot was when Steve Highway was at Chargers and flew a bunch of players over for trials at Liverpool.
