What do you think of the current program of RTC/ODP?

Do you think it is good to try out there for a classic tea player to get extra practice and challenges? U13-U14

RTC is for outlying players who are at clubs that only train two days a week and the players needs more. It’s also for “B” and “C” team players that want more training.

It is good for players who are no located near Portland DA clubs. And it allows kids in those clubs to train with a stronger set of peers than their local club team will usually offer.

And, I know players in the Timbers Academy that were identified through ODP. So, while the yield may be small, they do still use it for identification.

      That said, selections

It’s not like it used to be. Mostly for B teamers.

          ODP options?

If ODP is not strong like it used to be, what are the other options for motivated players looking for other opportunities and exposure outside of their club team? Other than TA?

          Generally U13-U15 Boys.

Best choice is to find a good club team where they’ll get all the training and exposure they need without any added expense of money and time.

Washington Timbers has the option for players to practice up to 5 days per week based on their abilities. I would think that most clubs do something similar. My son doesn’t practice 5 days a week but he does practices 4 days a week between three teams.
