Was just thinking about it, it's been a while since a club went belly up in CT. Does this bode well for the youth soccer environment here?

Bigger clubs have the ability to swallow up smaller ones and create big rosters. Look at FSA their state teams the "C" teams are not very good, but if they don't take the kids, those kids will just go somewhere else. Soccer business is very good for some, when you look at it that way. Same goes for some of the CFC branches. They still offer a service, have facilities, some of the teams are ok every once in a while, but nowhere near their top level teams.
When looking at it from a soccer perspective, "premier" is pretty much the new town teams. Then there are the elite, ecnl, npl, da, which would be seen as the premier team that travels bigger distances. Would almost be better to be setup like the US Soccer pyramid, with top groups, and relegation, would be interesting to see how it panned out over a few years.
Either way, always good to have more and more kids playing.

Youth soccer participation is down in CT. Lacrosse on both the boys and girls side and softball on the girls' side are poaching the young players. Also, sadly, kids are less active than 10 years ago and prefer video gaming to team sports.
