South Florida Soccer Parents really are delusional

You come on Talk soccer to talk about youth players to try & compare your own kid and what you’ve got going on in your world for justification? You guys really are stupid. You know who never comes on talk soccer to talk s h I t? The parents of players who are serious and actually have a plan. Everyone else, you’re laughed at on a daily basis. The best part is that many of you actually think these “big clubs” matter!! You talk about youth players like it’s the end of the world! Guess what f u c k face, your kid can’t do the same thing on the field as some of these players discussed on here. If you think they can, try again. It’s so much more than just controlling and passing a ball. The problem is, you wouldn’t know because you never played!

Reading post makes it sound like you have problems beyond worrying about youth soccer. Counseling may help.

And who are you, some soccer genius, hall of famer, who has blessed TS and the world with all of your youth soccer wisdom? You're post is naive at best, youth soccer in Florida is more about being a business and making some greedy adults a profit, not developing for the future. Pay, pay a little extra, kiss up to the right people, and your little kid is now a star of the team. You are right, its about much more than just controlling and passing a ball LOL

This is always an excuse and a cop out.

There are plenty of players whose parents sit in the background and aren’t part of the process.

The play does the talking. The parents do have to say a word to anyone, other than thank you.

There are plenty of parents who sit in the background, but those are usually on low level teams in my experience. As you go from rec, to GCF, to NPL, to ECNL/DA, the fanaticism of the parents increases, with some being worse than others, but most obsessed in some way. This leads to some kids earning more attention over others, whether due to relationship with a coach, a board member, extra training fees, whatever. There is no way this includes all kids, as that would be an "excuse or cop out," but it probably affects 5-8 kids per team. Youth soccer skills and assessments are all really subjective, which makes the whole thing prone to bias, and there is no disputing that. It happens at all levels, I mean watch the pros when there is a coaching change and one player all of the sudden falls out of favor with the new coach. Do you think the player's skills all of the sudden eroded, or maybe one coach thinks the other player was actually better, whereas the other disagreed. It's the human element of the sport, and at every level there are people there to take advantage of that for their own gain. You are naive to believe people are always complaining are doing so just because they like making excuses for their kids.

what is your point idiot? People are speaking mainly from their experience. Just because you belong to a sh!thole club and team, you are angry. Sorry you suck. Some of us are getting a return on our investment due to our kids success. Drop the mic!

Your post would carry so much more credibility and weight if you were a big enough person to post your name as well. Otherwise, you're as delusional and stupid as the rest of us.

For every team, it is usually clear who their strongest players are. Everyone else is just jockeying for favor and position/playing time/spot on team, etc.
