You clearly don’t understand why US players don’t have elite technical skills.

Do you seriously believe that they get the necessary volume of tougmchss on the ball at their 3 team practices?

Do you have any idea the training schedule of European academies?

No, you have no idea, which is my your child will continue to be a mediocre player or below that.

Sorry for the typos...should say touches at 4 weekly practices.

                    Point stands.

If you really want your kid to develop at level you are suggesting - elite international - then kid just leave the USA. If you don’t leave the USA then off day, unless it’s baby DA (07,08) should be spent on school. By 8th grade - u14 for most kids - school is intense, especially for kids that train 2-2.5 hours 4x a week. Respect most parents decisions but for me at some point you need to focus academic-type skills where you kid will almost certainly spend the vast majority of his adult life.

Learning time management and being able to do both well is an important life lesson.

Training hard and excelling at school are not mutually exclusive.

Play less Fortnite and spend less time watching Ninja on YouTube. Problem solved.

much of taking your game to the next level is work you do off the field, having the ball at your feet constantly, working in the back yard, pickup games etc. Many US players don't do more to develop beyond the subscribed practices and games they attend.

                              My point exactly.

Which is why it’s stupid to criticize players putting in extra work. Who knows a what their goals are or what their potential is? Only them, so kudos for putting in the work.
