So it looks like we will be having a Ridgefield/St Joes and a Staples/Glastonbury set of semifinals. Who does everyone see advancing to the finals? My bet is St. Joes/Staples

Here’s another easy fix CIAC could institute to make the brackets both more interesting and more fair.
Apply a replacement provision that allows the CIAC to reseed lower seeded team in games to avoid where possible intra-League matches in the first round.
So for this year’s bracket...in the top half switch 28 & 24. In the bottom half, switch 22 & 23, 27 & 19. And across halves, switch 18 & 17.
This does not upset any home games, or put any team at a significant disadvantage versus who they were originally playing. It gives the teams one sure chance at playing a team from another part of the state - to truly experience a state-wide tourney - which was the reason for lowering the entrance bar to 400 in the first place.
4 switches and no team gets eliminated by their own league in the first round.
