How many professional soccer players has Florida produced

Which soccer clubs in Florida have produced a professional soccer player? I think it is ok to name a players name if they played pro, so please do.

If they transplanted to Florida from another state that probably doesn't count, but name them anyway so we can review.

With all the posturing by these clubs in Florida and all the proof that the number of kids going to college on a scholarship and actually keeping their scholarship year over year is very low, I think it's time for a reality check,

Would love to be proved wrong, but I really don't know of many "Florida Club" trained soccer athletes that amounted to very much professionally.

      2 good ones!
Interesting that both of those players were born in NJ

Altidore - played for various South Florida youth teams such as Boca Raton Juniors Soccer Club, Schulz Academy and Sunrise S.C while also spending time training with the under-17 national team at the IMG Academy in Bradenton

Bedoya - raised in Weston, Florida, where he played youth soccer for local clubs; AYSO, Weston Fury, and FUTSOC USA ENIGMA Elite. His father, Adriano, played professional soccer in Colombia with Millonarios, and his grandfather, Fabio, played for Deportes Quindío.

      Any others?

Are you interested in just males who have played top tier pro or would you consider players in leagues like USL and women who play professionally?

For example, Cody Laurendi started out in club soccer in Brevard County at a very young age. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cody_Laurendi

The National Women's Soccer League has quite a few who played youth soccer in Florida. Ashlyn Harris, Toni Pressley, Katie Stengel, and Kristin Grubka spring to mind.

That's east central Florida so surely there are tons more out of the major urban areas.

There's this if you want to scroll through and see if you recognize any names. Great question.

Women/men, USNT (with some actual playing time), USL would all count if they trained and were developed by a Florida club

Keep in mind it is highly unlikely any pro player from Florida was trained and developed by a single club.

                      Lolol lolololol.

Go crank your micro penis, you fvckin loser. Men’s soccer is like 3rd rate in this country.

Women’s soccer on the other hand is successful and all the best female athletes play...unlike their male counter parts.

But...by all means keep toiling away On this forum thinking someone cares about how your loser son’s team is doing.

Now...get back to work before your boss fired your loser *****.

Ps- your wife is banging the lawn guys. Plural.

Real women don't play soccer south of the Border.

Why?! I think this comment proves the point quite nicely... Florida is just not producing top quality players. And all these folks that have been disillusioned by all of these supposed elite programs are being let down

Just proves over and over again that these clubs in Florida selling the Kool-Aid with everything being about getting a college scholarship is nothing but a bunch of empty promises.

I know it’s a hard pill to swallow for many of the parents and players that have bought into the silliness being touted by all of these programs. It seems to me a small handful get college scholarships and then you even smaller handful is able to maintain them for four years.

Even further, the lack of professional athletes that have come from Florida club programs is so minuscule that if you are a parent or a player, you should really be questioning this and asking yourself why.

Gee, thanks for taking a perfectly good question and heading straight into the sewer with it. At least TS is predictable.
