    U9 Competitive Bradenton Area

Just moved to the Bradenton area, and have a kid that's been playing competitive soccer. I'm looking at clubs in the area, and have seen Chargers CDL, Braden River etc... CDL for U9 though called competitive, doesn't seem to have that style play.

Are there any other options (would entertain the option of driving further north)?

    Thanks

Come on. Get the fvckouttahere. Competitive soccer for an 8 year old? Did you name the kid "Retirement?" Go start a hobby like drinking or smoking dope.

Pick something 5 minutes from your house so that he has more time to kick the ball around in the yard or with neighborhood kids. That's what he needs, not "competitive" soccer. Driving all over for an 8 year old is the definition of parent insanity.

I'll be starting a new fetus league in your area in 2019. For tryouts the parents will bring the sonogram of their player and we will judge A,B and C teams from those.

Don't be ridiculous, kids at 8 are definitely at different ability levels and for all kids to play rec with some kids who never played before would be a disservice.

ok pick one level above "rec" that's close to home that has good coaching. Eight year olds don't need to be driving all over the place and free play will do them more good than being in the car

                  Braden River

Braden River has the best coaches and the best GM/dictator of any club in the area. You will play and win your club tournament every year. BRSC loves putting fake trophies in the clubhouse. You will also be required to get sponsors for the club so that they can continue to grow that bank account. Go Rage!

Enough with looking for local teams. Waste of time. Go all in. Home school your kid and train full time. It might be a bit too late, being already 8 years old, but if you put in the effort, it is possible. Aim for scouts from Barca, Bayern, Juventus, and MC to observe by Christmas this year. That covers all the major leagues. During that time, you can obtain the necessary visas for living in the EU. Focus diet on heavy carbs and add the weight. LA Fitness at least twice per day. There is an experimental stem-cell treatment in Colombia that adds 12" of height in less than 6 months. You should book that too. Don't waste time waiting for puberty. Modify the circadian rhythm to only need 3-4 hours of sleep. That will provide an additional 4 hours of training per day. For yourself, look for a new wife with citizenship in Italy, France, or Spain. That will give you options for national team exposure, in case the US is still weak in 10 years.

Don't be a loser parent and fall for the bullsh!t about childhood and fun. Seriously, anything less than the above is a true disservice.

I don't get the responses to this person's post. Up here in NE FL there are 7 teams for the 2010's and 3 teams for 2011's that are above rec ball. The rec coaches are parent or volunteer coaches, and only the academy or above get the better coaching. U9 competative doesn't have to mean, win or be damned, or you can't play with your friends after school.

" I played every day from after school till dawn. All I wanted to do was to play soccer and sometimes my parents will get upset if I did not do my homework first. I was always a gentlemen, I will play for the team that asked me first. I played on a dirt field down the road of my house till it became dark. I played there till I was formally part of the Argentino Juniors Academy at 10 and had to ride the train for an hour."

                          Diego Maradona.

Yes, great idea. Forgot about this. Also add excessive use of cocaine to your kid's regimen. If you want to be like Maradona, you must follow his every move.
