    Post tryouts...what is notification window?

Just curious what would be a common acceptance window for clubs to notify players if they made the team? More specifically, returning players who might have a chance of moving up a level. We are certain that our kid will return & haven't got the email yet. Just wondering how long clubs can take to crunch the numbers with new players & returning players?

2 days max. That’s all they’d give you. Any longer and your kid is not that important for the team

      Pre-Offer Question

What would be pros vs cons of signing a pre-offer?

Situation: Top 3rd of roster on top team. No real reason / desire to leave the club and team that she is with now (same pre-offer team). So, we would be comfortable signing since it’s our desired situation. However, considering not signing only because what if the turn out @ tryouts was lacking and/or top players left (which I do not expect).

      Thoughts?

If they want you, you will know in 24 hours if you did not already get a pre offer. If you are worried, accept.your offer and just don't put your deposit down. Then if you are thinking you want to jump ship you still can.

Check your junk mail. A lot of offers are generated through an application and often their emails get recognized as spam.

All depends on where you are on their list - they notify the ones they really want first, give them 23-48 hours to decide, then move down the list accordingly. If you didn't hear quickly it doesn't necessarily mean bad news but the longer it goes the probability goes down. Don't be afraid to reach out and ask, especially if you have other offers to decide on.

That said, some clubs just SUCK at communication and never let you know. That tells you all you need to know about that club and it's a gift

Do clubs typically do offers over weekends? Our situation is that our D tried out at 2 clubs. Club 1 already made her an offer. Club 2 held last tryout on Wednesday night and we haven't heard anything. That is her preferred club, but we need to let club 1 know soon. Any chance we will hear this weekend or no chance now until Monday? She may just accept club 1's offer at this point.

                  Why not call the coach?

I don't think the weekend matters. Why not call club 2 and let them know your situation? Worst case, you are in the same position, best case they give you an answer more quickly.

Not to hijack the thread, but how do offers work with 2-3 tryouts?

Do some offers go out after each tryout?

Are there any offers to be had after the 3rd tryout?

Thinking of skipping tryout 3 to tryout at another club, just to keep options open.

+1 on this. Had direct email exchange with coach confirming the pre offer/acceptance and official offer with registration link was sent later that day. Problem is my cloud email service identified the registration system email as spam and filtered it (couldn’t even find it junk). Coach had to forward his cc: version to me so that I had link.

yes do that. if you haven't heard anything the odds are slim to none. always good to have a few options so you don't feel like you're being forced into the only thing you have

Players and parents talk. If your daughter was one of the last kids to be offered a spot, you can expect to be one of the last ones coming off the bench for playing time. Instead, go tryout somewhere your kid will make an impact.
