    Also, I believe first junior to win national player of the year as a junior.

      Check the birth certificate, closely, these guys are at least 3-4 years older.

        The likelihood that this kid (?) is the same age as the vast majority of HS juniors (16) is close to zero.

          The majority of high level soccer players are a year older than regular students (my son didn't repeat, and was the youngest by 2 years on his prep school soccer team. It's not just internationals).

          I have seen this boy since he arrived as a small 9th grader. He may not be 16, but he is no older than 18.
