How did they let this happen? When we came on board we thought this would be our daughters last team. We figured that if any club in dade county could be counted on to be stable it would be Pinecrest. Now half our team is leaving to Kendal United and we are going to be left with a terrible team.

Pinecrest doesn’t have DA or ECNL, yet they do not treat the girls that play for them like they are valuable parts of a team. If someone looks better than you at tryouts, for the 10 minutes they watch them play, they have no trouble offering them a spot over their 5/6 year veterans. The bottom line is that the girls who are still playing the sport at 13/14/15 in this county are either good enough to play ECNL or are all about the same level. The club would be smart to foster some loyalty -both the club to the girls and vice-versa. Instead they hold insanely long tryouts, basically tell the girls to be looking elsewhere if they don’t have a call in 24 Hours, and then cry like babies when half the team leaves. They continue to act like something they are not - the coaching and skill level is the same between MPS, Gables, Pinecrest, Real Miami, and even little Cutler Bay. They can switch girls around all they want, they’re still all second tier. Pinecrest seems to find some glory in being the most expensive, very best, 2nd tier team in Dade. Big whoop. Exactly! Pinecrest needs to eat a huge piece of humble pie for once and stop acting like elitist! And maybe they could change the horrible reputation of thier club. I think they sell humble pie at the whole foods in the Pincrest area. Those parents and the coaches should add it to thier diet and they will see the wonders it will do for thier club.Comment

When Nick left was the start of all going down hill. Now that Prime is with Team Boca Pinecrest doesn’t have much time left before they won’t be able to field a good team. RIPComment
