The sooner MLS clubs only are allowed to use the word academy the better.These academy clubs should employ a scout to scout and select talent from the rec teams we call soccer clubs.
The quicker we have a program that matches every other country around the world we will find the missed talent.
Run,monitored and in part subsidized by the MLS.These money orientated clubs,leagues & organizations need weeding out.Pay and play does not and will not work!Comment

My son made the state team 2 years ago and had a great experience. Many coaches throughout his recruiting processes mentioned it and none negatively. The coaches put together a very strong team and the majority of the boys as well as himself have committed to schools for next year. I think the more touches you can get with quality players the bigger benefit it is. Make what you want out of it.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

its still the good ole boys club! on the girls side there is a BIG handful of girls that never made it past the tryout stage! mysteriously they are all on the Alabama list? so its either politics OR money! ill say a little of both!Comment

Not a single players from ODP is on the national team. That's travel & Rec holding to the last piece of hope. Misrepresentation in soccer is ODP. That's a 2000's program. USSDA killed ODP. Just look at the rosters of the last 3 years. No ODP.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment
