Do you live in Weston. If yes, then why not. If no, is there a decent program closer to you. If yes, then go for that. Or just ask her where she wants to play. And if she says Weston, you can hold it against her for the next year.

If the coaching is the best in your area and it's a good fiy for her skills? Sure. Always pick the best coaching, don't get caught up in leagues. That said pre DA isn't a league or part of anything really. It's a way for clubs to keep players not good enough for their A teams. Ifor it works for your kid great but don't expect it to leaf to much more than a B team experience

Run. It gets you no where. It only makes you more poor. Focus on academics, theres much more money available through that route. Dont pay extra money to the same bad coaching you can get anywhere.

Not what I’m asking, she’s in ninth grade , will make the Hs team and also wants to play travel, is the pre da for u16 worth it ? I live in Weston so it isn’t any extra travel

Worth it compared to what? You first need to decide what you hope to get out of club soccer. If you just want a place to enjoy soccer year round with competition above your local recreational league, then yes. On the other hand, if you are looking for an opportunity to play at the top level and want a route into DA, then no. Pre-Academy is just a marketing term for 2nd team and unlikely to deliver anything more.

When you ask, "Worth it?", what are the goals for your daughter? Does she want to play in college? Does she want to play at the highest level? Or does she just want to play soccer with friends and not worry about training/development?

When you ask "worth it" each person has a different definition. That's why you are getting opinions like the run away guy.

Do both play for s private school and club. If she is good enough a private school will give you a scholarship.

Why do people give answers that have nothing to do with the question??!!! Did you read the OP? He didn't ask about private school or scholarships or any issues with playing for both school and club. If you can't contribute, STFU!

Weston FC is the top club in South Florida so totally worth it

Pre-academy ususally plays the NPL or FSPL league which is not the top level but can still provide a competition level that your kids can be challenged and continue to develop. ECNL and DA is not the end all be all like many of the freaks on here try to convince themselves of. Also, the pre-DA is sometimes asked to guest play with DA so the earlier post about that never happening is not exactly true. Just look at a pre-da team as a very strong B team that can ususally compete with even top teams of smaller clubs that don't play ECNL or DA.

No it's not worth it. You will pay a $1k to $1.5k premium for the name.

Premium over what? It's all relative to what the OPs other local options are and what they offer in terms of training etc and what his player wants.
